1. Data controller
The controller of personal data is HS Sensors.
2. What data we process
Quote requests and messages — full name, company name, VAT ID (if you provide it), e-mail address, phone number (if you provide it), the content of the message and the list of products the request concerns.
Technical visit data — without your consent, we record only anonymous events (e.g. a page view, a button click), without identifiers and without the IP address. If you consent to analytics cookies, we also record a random browser and visit identifier and the source of the first visit. Details: Cookie policy.
Correspondence — the content of e-mail messages and the data they contain.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Preparing a quotation and replying to an enquiry — steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, in the case of persons acting on behalf of a company, our legitimate interest in conducting business correspondence (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Handling messages sent via the contact form — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Statistics using browser identifiers — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time in the cookie settings.
Securing the website and protecting it against abuse (e.g. limiting the number of forms submitted) — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Providing data in the forms is voluntary, but without contact details we cannot reply to your enquiry.
4. Recipients of data
Data may be disclosed to entities that provide services to us: website hosting and maintenance, e-mail and message delivery and — only if they have been enabled and you have given your consent — Google tools (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager). These entities process data under data processing agreements and only on our instructions.
5. Transfers of data outside the EEA
If we use Google tools, data may be transferred to the USA on the basis of the European Commission’s decision on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the basis of standard contractual clauses.
6. Retention period
Quote requests and messages — for as long as necessary to handle them and then for up to 36 months from the last contact; after this period the data is automatically anonymised, unless we have concluded a contract (in which case, for the period required by law).
Statistical data — for up to 25 months, after which it is deleted.
Data processed on the basis of consent — until consent is withdrawn.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it rectified or erased, to restrict its processing, to data portability, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
8. Profiling
We do not make automated decisions and do not profile users within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
9. Changes to this policy
We will announce any significant changes on this page. The date of the last update is given at the beginning of this document.
